Marmas Official has deep roots in the vibrant community of Highland Park, Los Angeles. We fought hard to be here, and we’re incredibly proud to call this historic neighborhood our home. In fact, the very building we work in every day is a piece of local history—it started as a small pharmacy in the 1920s, serving the community for decades before transforming into one of Highland Park’s first legal cannabis dispensaries. It’s amazing how times change!

In the early days, Marmas Official faced an uphill battle. Even though California had passed Prop 64, allowing recreational cannabis sales, Highland Park’s local government was slow to embrace the industry. For months, we were caught in a cycle of approvals and shutdowns, facing unexpected roadblocks at every turn. Despite strong community support, outdated policies and resistance from city officials made it seem like opening our doors might never happen. But we refused to give up—week after week, we showed up at council meetings, advocating for a business we had every legal right to operate.

Today, Marmas Official stands as a testament to resilience and progress. We’re honored to serve Highland Park, not just as a cannabis dispensary, but as a dedicated member of this incredible community.
